How many Snuggie-lovers do we have out there? I wasn’t as captivated by the oversized blanket with sleeves as the rest of the country was … until they threw in that damn reading light, and I was hooked. I’m not sure who started the first Snuggie Pub Crawl, but ever since the infomercial began running last year, they’ve popped up around the country.
Finally, one is coming here. This Saturday (March 21), a group of Snuggie-lovers will gather at the Outlook Inn (916 Baxter Ave.) around 9 p.m. Anyone who has a similar love of their Snuggie is encouraged to join. Basically, the group — most likely clad in the various blue, green and red garbs — will make their way up Baxter Avenue, pitstopping at each bar along the way.
I asked one of the Louisville Sunggie Pub Crawl founders, Tonya Evitts Hillman, what she anticipates as being the best and worst part of pub crawling in a Snuggie. Here’s what she had to say:
“I think people will be surprised how long they are and how hard it may be to ‘crawl,’ so I may find a way to tie mine to make it shorter. That will be the most difficult part of the crawl. The best part about wearing a Snuggie on a pub crawl is you and your friends get to drink together in public wearing a blanket with sleeves, not to mention it opens in the back! How convenient is THAT?”
I couldn’t agree more. Women will finally have the advantage when using the restroom. Hell, and the thing is long enough you can just wipe your hands dry.

lol, i just ordered a snuggie the other day. still waiting its arrival.
I don’t have a snuggie, so I guess I’ll have to find a bar with a window seat to catch a glimpse tonight! Any ideas?
