Here’s something to discuss over a pint or two tonight. A good friend passed along info to me today that Pluto is in retrograde. Here’s what it means:
Pluto, the planet of transformation, takes 248 years to complete a single cycle of rotation around the sun. On average, it spends 21 years in each sign and five months of each year in retrograde. Pluto turns retrograde in Capricorn on April 4, signaling a time of destruction and rebuilding, rejuvenation and regeneration. It is a time for fresh starts and dead ends. The things we hang onto the tightest can suddenly be taken away. We may be forced to reevaluate the things we cherish most.
During a Pluto retrograde period, we will feel pressured to eliminate and release the old, outworn, outdated and obsolete in our lives. We will be urged to let go of attitudes, thinking or communication patterns, security drives and rigid emotions that no longer serve us. This is an excellent time to undergo an internal form of house cleaning and look into ourselves to determine exactly what we do and do not need. Pluto retrograde imparts an intense power for investigation, so we should use this time to assess what reoccurring patterns in our lives make us feel out of control, where and why do we continually give our power away, and under what circumstances do we react so defensively that we elicit attacks from others. Pluto retrograde marks a time wherein we should seek to gain greater control over our lives.
How about them apples? Let it marinate and then discuss.

I have not checked out your blog in forever and just thought about it….now i’m glad i did, this is awesome! 🙂
Sounds like some hippy bullshit to me. Pluto isn’t even a planet anymore. All of the outer planets retrograde for some part of the year, what makes Pluto any different. Also, it lasts for 5 months?!? Thats over 40% of each year. It would be easy to blanket any sort of change during that time as ‘Pluto retrograde’ mumbo jumbo. Now if you’ll excuse me, i need to go buy some Amethyst and clense my soul of any negative spirits.
I was actually thinking about pluto retrograde a couple of days ago, and wondering what that meant. Thanks for this one!
yikes, that was pretty harsh, i digress. I had to listen to this ridiculous dirty hippy bartender last week in Haight-Ashbury. I guess she left a sour taste in my mouth (not literally). She was going on about negative energy and how this rock she wore around her neck warded it off. Call me a skeptic.
I am however a firm believer in the doomsday/consciousness shift prophecy in 2012 when the earth and sun align w/ the center of the galaxy. The times they are a-changin’
