New Beer @ Flanagan’s

Flanagan’s beer goddess Ashley Isaacs sent me tonight’s agenda for the weekly Thursday beer-tapping. Here’s what she said:

I have lots of things to tell you guys about, so I will just jump right in. This Thursday, July 2, we will be featuring Left Hand Brewing Company. At 7 we will tap a keg of Milk Stout. The milk sugar in this delicious brew adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding year-round stout. Chef Lauren will be cooking up a special dessert as well … a Milk Stout float!    At 8 we will be pouring Sawtooth Ale.  This English style Extra Special Bitter (ESB) is extremely well balanced with significant hop character, medium body, and a maltiness which increases as the beer warms. The glassware for both beers is pretty awesome, so make sure you get your order in early!  Although the Milk Stout float is going to be awesome, we will have another dessert special for your tasting pleasure!  Erica, our local Chocolatier, has taken on the exciting job of making chocolate truffles with our high-end beers!  Imperial Stouts, Raspberry Lambics, and Smoked Porters are just a few of the styles she is using. I can’t wait to try them!

Hmm … dollar beers at the Bats game or Milk Stout … decisions, decisions …
