What is this world coming to when things like this are created? On another note, I got to try bathtub gin last night at the Distilled Spirits Epicenter’s “Spirits of Prohibition” class! It was disgusting, and I can see how people died when they drank too much of this stuff during Prohibition (or if it was made the wrong way or made with poisons). Gin and bourbon were the popular spirits of that time — and we even got to see how you could essentially turn vodka into makeshift bourbon, which people did back then by adding caramel, vanilla and oak flavorings. Was it good? Of course not. But it sure looked like whiskey.
Happy National Hangover Day!
