The ’80s were the decade of the saxophone. Every great ’80s song makes use of the instrument, including one I heard this morning on the way into work — Glenn Frey’s “You Belong to the City.” What a great song, and who doesn’t belong to a city (unless you live in the country)?
Nobody knows where you’re goin’
Nobody cares where you’ve been
You belong to the city
You belong to the night
Livin in a river of darkness
Beneath the neon lights
You were born in the city
Concrete under your feet …
