I’ve been asked to be a judge for a manhattan competition next Monday, and I’m ecstatic. I may have wet myself with glee. It’s Brown Forman’s Manhattan Experience, a competition sponsored by Esquire magazine that tries to find the best manhattan recipe around the country. I judged this a few years ago and recall how amazing each sample was. Manhattans are my favorite cocktail, followed closely by the mint julep. Gentlemen, start your bitters!
