Today’s Reason To Drink

IMG_1294I tried this W.L. Weller 12-Year for the first time last week and haven’t been able to get it off my mind. It’s the smoothest 90-proof bourbon I’ve had this side of the Mississippi … not that I’ve had a smoother bourbon on the other side … I just wanted to add emphasis for emphasis’ sake.

I enjoyed it straight up, for it needed no mixer or rocks. It was $12 at Feast BBQ in NuLu … if you can find it cheaper, let me know! The regular W.L. Weller is available at The Post for $4.50. I don’t know much about the regular vs. the 12-year, but it sounded like a good price.

Try it before I drink it all.

BTW: It’s rumored to have a similar recipe to Pappy … so there you go.
