A few things worth putting on your calendar … that sound like a good time. Strangely enough, none of them include an all-night bender at Chuck E. Cheese.

I fancy Nancy.

First up is the “I Heart HEART” concert this Saturday (Feb. 14 … the dreaded V Day) at Mercury Ballroom. Basically a few ladies from local bands are getting together to sing the best of Heart. I love ladies and I love tribute bands, so count me in! (Here’s my interview with Nancy Wilson from 2009 … be still my heart.)

Next is the Bourbon Classic and Tailspin Ale Fest, both on the weekend of Feb. 20-21. Not sure why these two overlap, but it’s forcing me to make some serious decisions about how I spend my time. Bourbon or beer? That’s like Sophie’s Choice to me. Sheesh.
