Lordy B, I need this long weekend like I need a date! Anyone have any grand plans? (For the weekend, not for my date … although I’m available if a free dinner is involved.)

The city’s annual free Fourth of July Festival returns to the Waterfront Park on Saturday, and the Louisville Orchestra will be performing, among many others. Here’s a link to info on that, as well as some other events. I’ve got a friend’s birthday party tomorrow … and that’s really my only plan.

This could be a weekend full of spontaneity, and I like that.
