I once went as a Golden Shower.

It’s Halloween weekend, so what are you going as? A slutty princess? Sporty Spice? Scary Spice? A pumpkin spice latte?

This year I find myself on the other end of costume contests — as a judge for The Back Door’s annual esteemed contest that awards $600 to the first place winner. That’s a lot of dough! If you’ve never been to the Back Door’s contest, it’s a feast for the eyes. People spend all year working on costumes and getups, and the best of the best usually enter.

It takes place Saturday, Oct. 29, at midnight.
