It was a tough job, but someone had to do it.
Last night I was a judge at Woodford Reserve’s Manhattan Experience cocktail competition. Some of the state’s top bartenders competed for the coveted first-place prize, which moves them on to the national competition. We judges got to try eight variations of the Manhattan and scored them on creativity, taste, knowledge of product, presentation and more.
Wiseguy Lounge out of Covington won once again (second year in a row, different bartender), which further confirms that I need to visit again. Congrats to Adam Mitchell for his corn-forward Manhattan.
Woodford Double Oaked never tasted better.
