Joined the Whisky Chicks last night for a special benefit for the March of Dimes. Four bourbon pros each shared a special bottle from their collections with us, and it was a fun, information experience. The bourbons are pictured here, and my favorite ended up being the 15 Year Jefferson’s Reserve, with the Willett family estate single barrel in a close second.
Don’t get me wrong, they all were very delicious, and I was lucky to sit next to a friend who hasn’t quite leaped on the bourbon bandwagon yet, so she shared most of her samples with me.
Tonight, it’s the Kentucky Derby Festival’s first-ever bourbon event, BourbonVille, so it’ll be another sexy night with Kentucky’s spirit. Just gotta remember to pace myself … and eat cheese.
