Beer is king in America.

According to the latest Gallup study, 62% of Americans drink alcohol. And of those drinkers, 40% prefer beer, 30% prefer wine and 26% prefer liquor.

But what about the 38% who don’t? You know, maybe they’ve never felt the optimism and excitement of happy hour, but I bet they fit into their pants.

Another interesting fact the study found: Less-educated and middle-income Americans tend to choose beer. Well duh. Budweiser is the lubrication of the middle class, isn’t it? This Bud is for NASCAR, Walmart and you!

Anyway, the liquor — let’s just say bourbon — statistic is the highest it’s been in the study’s 25-year history. Woot!
