I’ve never really had a reason to make a living will, because I never really owned anything worth more than $20.
But now that I have a house and some bourbon, I suppose I ought to assign things to people. Is that how it works?
OK, here it goes:
House — my older brother and sister-in-law
Bourbon — my younger brother, except for the Old Forester products, which should go to my friend Elizabeth (oh, and can you give one Weller Antique to my friend Kat?)
Wine & Cheese-Cutting Tools — divided between my friend Anna and my sister-in-law
Dog — my friend Leslie, but if her house is too full, maybe Elizabeth, one of my brothers or my dad?
Leaf Blower & Weed Eater — my friend Laura
Bourbon Barrel Table — my friend Kat
I think that’s about it. I don’t really care much about my jewelry or clothes or tools or other knickknacks.
So now, if I turn up missing, you know where to look first — the family and friends who are mentioned above.
