Did you enjoy your long weekend? I managed to stay out of trouble for the most part — and even went kayaking for seven miles down the Blue River in Southern Indiana. My cooler of beer was secured tightly on the back. Nature, friends, beer … there’s nothing like it.

It’s a holiday weekend! Those are my favorite kind. I foresee drinks, cook-outs, drinks, the Beatles Fest, drinks, kayaking, drinks, sunbathing, and probably drinks. Who’s in?

I have a bum contact, and I didn’t realize it until I got into the office. Who knew eye drops don’t substitute as contact solution? My eyes are dicks.

While day drinking outside on the KingFish patio, I thought about my ultimate outdoor festival. It’s gonna be called BarBellapalooza, and it’s gonna be like the Lilith Fair of ’80s musicians — plus beer, bourbon, froyo and cheese fry tents. Who’s in?

I’ll just be having one beer tonight, thanks.

It’s hard to see the light when you wake up feeling like there’s a black cloud hovering above. I guess the only thing to do is dig into life and find happiness in the little things. Little things collected make big things.

If every drop of rain falling right now was a drop of beer, would you be outside with your mouth open? Would you invest in rain buckets? Would children not be allowed to play in puddles? Would bars have to lower their draft beer prices to compete with Mother Nature? What kind of beer would be falling? A hoppy IPA or a mild pilsner?

So many questions.
