From a press release:
To encourage Louisville residents and Kentucky Derby visitors to plan ahead and never drive drunk, Miller Lite Free Rides is partnering for the second year with the Transit Authority of River City (TARC), Kentucky Derby Festival and River City Distributing to offer free bus and trolley service on Derby Eve.
“Miller Lite Free Rides’ goal is to ensure residents and visitors plan ahead for a safe ride to and from the evening festivities surrounding the Kentucky Derby,” said Kim Marotta, vice president of corporate social responsibility for MillerCoors. “We believe that with great beer, comes great responsibility, and we’re pleased to offer a safe transportation alternative to help raise community awareness that drunk driving is completely preventable.”
Now in its second year in Louisville, the Miller Lite Free Rides program will offer free bus and trolley rides on Friday, April 30, beginning at 6 p.m. All regularly scheduled bus routes will provide free rides, and a special free trolley service will run every 10 minutes until midnight on the Main-Market route, just south of Waterfront Park. Route and schedule information is available at www.MillerLiteFreeRides.com, by texting “FREE RIDE” to 30364 or calling 1-800-FREE RIDES (1-800-373-3743). The bus and trolley service will visit many popular Derby Eve destinations including restaurants, bars, neighborhood events and the Derby Eve concert presented by Miller Lite at Waterfront Park.
