Barbells and Bourbon? I may just show up late

drinksThe Jewish Community Center wants you to work out, and they’re enticing you with a reward of bourbon afterward. Called “Barbells and Bourbon,” the class will feature high-impact circuit training for 45 minutes and then a cool-down session that involves drinking bourbon.

I’m not sure the promise of bourbon would get me to the gym on a Sunday afternoon (the class runs from 4-5 p.m. on Sundays from Nov. 2-23), but you gotta give them an A for effort and for thinking outside the glass.

Think of it as a workout for your liver after you workout your core.

The cost of the class is $72 and includes the bourbon and bench presses. Call 238-2727 to sign up.

I’m totally signing up for this. I was going to do some kind of class/personal training to kick my butt into gear, and since they added bourbon … well, how can I turn that down?
