Ice Cream + Beer

Sometimes an email will stop me in my tracks.

Usually it’s from someone breaking up with me or the government saying I owe money, but this time, it was neither of those, thank the lort! This time, it was from those mischievous folks over at Flanagan’s Ale House who like to tempt me with their Thursday pint night specials.

And after reading the name of this beer, who wouldn’t stop in their tracks?

At 7 p.m., we will be serving New Belgium Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale. Their newest collaboration with Ben & Jerry’s brings together two different types of pint-makers for one common goal: to fill your glass with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale. To craft this confection, they dove into their favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes for inspiration, and then whipped hefty doses of chocolate, brown sugar and vanilla into a dough-hued blonde ale base. The result is a full-bodied beer that seduces with a perfect balance of vanilla and chocolate, and finishes with just the right amount of sweetness. Put down the spoon, pick up a pint. I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream beer. 6% abv

As a woman who loves both beer and ice cream, you can bet your sweet ass I’ll be making a pit stop at Flanagan’s later tonight, after I check out the Louisville Mashed bourbon event.
