COOL GLASS ALERT!

What lesbian doesn’t want this glass?

Having recently moved, I can attest to how much it sucks moving boxes upon boxes of shit. I’ve got more beer koozies and pint glasses than 12 people will use in their lifetime, but will that stop me from stalking Flanagan’s Pint Night specials?

The answer is no, and it has a lot to do with the fact that my father is a hoarder (I mean collector).

But, I am definitely more choosier when it comes to getting my hands on glassware. I don’t need another Guinness toucan or Fall’s City logo. I’ve got dozens. What I do need is a glass with a tongue sticking out of it, and it turns out tonight they’re giving away such a thing.

The folks from Michigan’s Saugatuck Brewing Co. will be tapping two of their beers — Starburst Wheat and Blueberry Maple Stout — tonight (Dec. 29) at 7 and 8 p.m., respectively.

Now, I really want to try the Blueberry Maple Stout, but I want the Starburst Wheat glass with said tongue, so I’ll hopefully get an understanding bartender who will make the swap. If I can do it on Derby Day at Churchill Downs (getting them to make a Mint Julep in a Lily glass), then surely I can get it done at Flanagan’s.

If not, I’ll just have two beers … and two more glasses.
