There’s a new señorita in town — Wild Rita’s offers up sassy Mexican fare

picstitch1 I got a chance to check out the new Wild Rita’s last week, and here are some photos of the delicious food and drinks the hungry people at my table consumed.

The menu featured traditional options like tacos and quesadillas, and offered up interesting dishes like molcajete stew and a big ol’ bone of pork.

Since I’m no dining critic, I focused my attention on the drinks. One of my favorites was the signature cocktail, the Wild Rita, pictured above on the right. They actually light it on fire when sit it in front of you. It had the feel of a top-shelf margarita with a slight twist of flavor I couldn’t quite identify. I also sampled flights of  tequila, and several tequila-based drinks off their extensive list, which also includes traditional gin, bourbon and rum cocktails.

I’d like to remind you that Wild Rita’s happy hour runs 4-7 p.m. during the weekdays and offers $2 tacos, $3 Mexican drafts, $3 margaritas and half-off Mexican pizzas and quesadillas.

And desserts! What? In case you ever have room left after a Mexican meal, they have an array of sweetness, like those cinnamon-sticky thingys and flan.

I also went there with my hubby & daughter, had fish tacos, steak tacos and enchiladas all very good. The salsas and drinks were delicious. I will be back for sure!
