Bourbon barrel buddies.

Mondays seem more tolerable when you’re at a distillery sipping bourbon before noon.

The occasion? Heaven Hill is expanding its Bernheim facility in West Louisville — and spending $25 million so it can fill 400,000 barrels a year. Here’s more on that.

They asked those who were in attendance to sign the first barrel that came off the new 70-foot still, and of course I couldn’t resist. I signed right underneath the mayor!
