I took myself on a date Valentine’s Day night, before Mariah Carey, to Copper & Kings for their chocolate/cheese/brandy pairing. It was all delicious, considering all three companies that teamed up are the cream of the crop here in town.
Cellar Door Chocolates provided the yummy sweets, Capriole Goat Cheeses provided the creamy eats, and Copper & Kings, of course, provided the stiff treats — in the form of three of their brandys.
I also had an Old Fashioned made with their cask strength Butchertown Brandy, and I must say it was fantastic — and that says a lot coming from someone who prefers bourbon. That cask strength brandy is quite nice and sips smooth for being 124 proof.
Anyway, next time you’re over there, ask for a sample. Or if you see it at a bar, have them make you an Old Fashioned out of it.
