It’s no fun to work on Sunday, but when that work consists of hanging out at a bourbon distillery and watching a movie, it’s not that bad.
Last Sunday I ventured over to Frankfort’s new Castle & Key Distillery for the viewing of the bourbon documentary “Neat.” It’s a very cool film and should be seen by all who claim to love whiskey. (Read more about it here.)
Anyway, we went on a private tour of the former Old Taylor Distillery, and it’s come a long way since I first checked it out with master distiller Marianne Barnes a few years back. It’s just about ready to open, and hopefully there will be a gin and/or vodka release as well later this year.
Also, Castle & Key whiskeys and bourbons are currently resting, but I can’t wait to give them a try when they’re ready.
