OK, so it’s 6:15 p.m., and not many young professionals are out and about. They’re probably rushing home from work … letting the dog out … maybe hitting a happy hour or two before gathering at the Ali Center for the official Young Professionals of Louisville (YPAL)/Louisville Urban League Young Professionals election-night party. 

“It’s important for us to get together on a night like this … especially when the country is so divided,” says YPAL organizer Geoff White. “The Ali Center is the perfect fit for a party of this nature.”

And that’s probably where my official “reporting” stops. I’ve just taken two swigs from my flask of Four Roses bourbon, and I’m on the prowl for fun parties, interesting people and, mainly, free beer. 

Ali Center = cash bar, cash food. I’m sure the party will liven up here in a few. I just won’t be around to see it.
